Teo
The one who climbs the roofs · the first Weaver of Dawn
Teo is seventeen, the youngest of the twelve squires who were to swear the oath in the Meridian Hall. He grew up in the Cloister of Auren from the age of four; he has no family by blood that anyone knows of, only Sera and Edrin: “family by mathematics”. He is the one who climbs the roofs.
When the sky broke during the oath, Edrin died, and Teo received a golden Core in his chest: he became the first Weaver of Dawn. The Order declared him a traitor.
At the end of Book I he is in Halvar’s Tower, recovering from a sprained ankle. His Core is cracked and, alone, he can draw only a single spark. He has promised Sera to tell her where the Echoes go, and is getting ready to leave for the Vale of Echoes with Nyra and Orin.
