The squire who snores like a saw
Garrick is nineteen, the eldest of the twelve squires of the oath. He is a farrier’s son, with four younger sisters, and squire to Rufo, a grey-haired veteran of no noble house. In the old wing of the Cloister, where the squires sleep, he is the one who snores like a saw.
After the Breaking he marches with the Order. At the end of Book I he is in the camp at Highstone, and he knows there is a reward for Teo.
