Mother Ondine
Mother of the Infirmary of the Cloister of Auren
Ondine is fifty-two and has been Mother of the Infirmary since 980, in charge of the healer acolytes. She lives in a cell above the infirmary, with a window onto the courtyard. She says her family is “whoever’s lying on the cots”. In 977 she sewed up a young girl’s chin with seven stitches; the girl became Commander Aelis.
After the Breaking her infirmary is full of burn victims.
