Old Boulder

Old Boulder is a golem of the Ancients, made of obsidian: about a thousand years old, nearly all of them spent asleep on his feet at the rim of the old crater in the Crater Field. “The golem had been guarding a hole, out of loyalty or forgetfulness.”

He is destroyed in the late afternoon of day 26, broken into a thousand flakes at the bottom of the crater, as Teo and Nyra fall. The flakes still keep light inside them, like the stone of the Celestial Circle.
